Hajiji reshuffles Sabah state cabinet

KOTA KINABALU: Sabah chief minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor reshuffled the state cabinet today, with two Pakatan Harapan representatives in the new line-up and an incumbent Umno assistant minister now promoted to minister.

Umno assemblyman Datuk Shahelmey Yahya (Tanjung Keramat), who supports the chief minister, has been promoted as deputy chief minister and state minister of works, taking the place of Datuk Seri Bung Moktar Radin who has been removed.

Two new state executive councilors from Pakatan Harapan are Datuk Christina Liew Chin Jin (Api-Api) and Ginger Phoong Jin Zhe (Luyang).

Liew will be the state tourism, culture and environment minister and Phoong will be the industrial development minister.

The incumbent assistant agriculture and fisheries minister from Umno, James Ratib (Sugut) is now promoted as community development and people’s well-being minister.
