KUALA LUMPUR: Caretaker prime minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob has arrived at The St. Regis Kuala Lumpur preparing to meet members of parliament from Barisan Nasional and Perikatan Nasional.
When asked by the media at the hotel’s entrance why he had come, Ismail simply said, “I don’t know!”
After the Monday meeting between BN and Pakatan Harapan leaders at Seri Pacific Hotel Kuala Lumpur on the formation of a joint government, BN and PN leaders now meet at The St Regis.
Umno deputy president Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan, Gerakan Rakyat president Datuk Dominic Lau Hoe Chai and Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia secretary-general Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainudin have already arrived at the hotel.
It is learned that PN chairman cum Bersatu president Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin will negotiate with BN leaders on behalf of the PN coalition.
