Over 30k have signed petition asking GPS not to work with PN

PETALING JAYA: Over 30,000 people have signed a petition on Change.org asking Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) not to align itself to Perikatan Nasional.

They urged all Christian members of parliament in GPS to reject forming a joint government with PN.

“We pride ourselves in having a multiracial and multireligious society and we have managed to coexist harmoniously for so long. We must not let anything or anyone threaten this harmony,” said the petition.

Ba’kelalan state assemblyman Baru Bian earlier said in a statement that all religious beliefs had to be respected.

He hit out at PN chairman Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin for his remark that Christians were using Pakatan Harapan as an agent to Christianize Malaysia.
