SEKINCHAN: A group of people have come forward to sponsor free bus trips for Malaysians living in Singapore to vote on the polling day.
In a bid to encourage Malaysians from Kuala Selangor, Tanjung Karang, Sekinchan, Sungai Besar and Sabak Bernam to return home to vote, free bus trips will be provided from Singapore for them to exercise their rights.
Organizer Xie Xiang Cun said more than one bus load of Malaysians had signed up so far.
The number of bus trips would depend on the number of Malaysians signing up for the free service, he said.
“Bus tickets to Singapore are selling like hot cakes, and we are leasing buses to ferry Malaysians back from Singapore,” he said.
Deadline to sign up for the service is November 15 (Tuesday).
