KUALA LUMPUR: The Federation of Alumni Association of Taiwan Universities Malaysia (FAATUM) works with a local job agency to assist Malaysian graduates from Taiwan universities to look for jobs in the country.

FAATUM signed a memorandum of understanding with Agensi Pekerjaan 123 Sdn Bhd to assist Malaysians in job search back home after graduating from Taiwan universities.

The free service is to help the country retain talents.

Agensi Pekerjaan 123 will be signing authorization letters with Malaysian corporations to match job openings with graduates from Taiwan universities.

Besides, the agency will also update Malaysian students with the latest information on studying in Taiwan and offering them assistance when necessary.

FAATUM president Datuk Dr Tang Yong Chew said the one-stop service offered by Agensi Pekerjaan 123 had received support from the Ministry of Education and the Overseas Community Affairs Council.

Many Malaysian graduates of Taiwan universities are worried about their job prospects after graduation. Now that you are assured of a job, you can opt to remain in Taiwan or come back here,” he said.

Anne Hung , representative of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Malaysia, said Agensi Pekerjaan 123 would become a specific human resources platform for Malaysian graduates of Taiwan universities.

Launched in this March, Agensi Pekerjaan 123 Sdn Bhd has more than one hundred vacancies shortlisted for Malaysian graduates from Taiwan universities.

FAATUM hopes the service will help establish a strong network connecting Malaysian graduates from Taiwan universities, reduce the risk of not being able to secure suitable jobs, and offer a helping hand to relieve the stress of fresh graduates.
