PUTRAJAYA, July 6 (Sin Chew Daily) – A total of 7,654 new COVID-19 cases were reported in the country as of noon today, including 11 imported cases.

Selangor reported 3,260 new cases, followed by Kuala Lumpur (1,550), Negeri Sembilan (698), Kedah (337), Johor (313), Sarawak (286), Melaka (230), Sabah (225), Penang (185), Pahang (180) and Kelantan (118).

To date there are a cumulative total of 792,693 confirmed cases and 714,815 recoveries (including 4,797 discharged today) at 90.17% recovery rate.

103 new deaths were reported today, taking the toll to 5,677.

There are currently 72,201 active cases, including 943 at ICUs, 450 requiring ventilators.
