PUTRAJAYA, July 5 (Sin Chew Daily) – A total of 6,387 new COVID-19 cases were reported in the country as of noon today, including 26 imported cases.

Selangor reported 2,610 new cases, followed by Kuala Lumpur (819), Negeri Sembilan (523), Sarawak (424), Johor (324), Pahang (312), Kedah (273), Sabah (263), Perak (249), Melaka (206), Penang (157) and Kelantan (114).

To date there are a cumulative total of 785,039 confirmed cases and 710,018 recoveries (including 4,532 discharged today) at 90.44% recovery rate.

77 new deaths were reported today, taking the toll to 5,574.

There are currently 69,447 active cases, including 923 at ICUs, 433 requiring ventilators.
