PUTRAJAYA, June 10 (Sin Chew Daily) – A total of 5,671 new COVID-19 cases were reported in the country as of noon today, including eight imported cases.

Selangor reported 1,510 new cases, followed by Kuala Lumpur (769), Sarawak (631), Negeri Sembilan (593), Johor (524), Kedah (309), Kelantan (262), Sabah (233), Melaka (184), Penang (166), Perak (143), Pahang (112), Terengganu (108) and Labuan (106).

To date there are a cumulative total of 639,562 confirmed cases and 556,030 recoveries (including 7,325 discharged today) at 86.94% recovery rate.

73 new deaths were reported today, taking the toll to 3,684.

There are currently 79,848 active cases, including 911 at ICUs, 462 requiring ventilators.
