None from Amanah, only 1 PPBM MP at UEC dialogue

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 16 (Sin Chew Daily) -- The special task force on Unified Examination Certificate (UEC) held a closed door dialogue for all Members of Parliament this afternoon.

None of the opposition elected representatives was at the dialogue when it started at 13:15. However, opposition reps began to show up at the meting room only after the dialogue had started for 15 minutes, including MCA president cum Ayer Hitam MP Datuk Seri Wee Ka Siong and PAS' Rantau Panjang MP Siti Zailah Mohd Yusoff.

Senator from Gerakan Rakyat Datuk Ng Chiang Chin was also present.

Meanwhile, no Amanah representative attended the dialogue while Datuk Seri Mustapa Mohamed was PPBM's only representative at the dialogue. This means that majority of the MPs present were from DAP and Keadilan, mostly backbenchers with the exception of DAP's MP for Segambut Hannah Yeoh

The task force's chairman Eddin Khoo told Sin Chew Daily it hoped to listen to the views of Members of Parliament and Senators on the recognition of UEC.
