NS: not even behind closed doors

  • Negeri Sembilan menteri besar says the state government will not allow speeches by Zakir Naik, not even if held behind closed doors.

SEREMBAN, Aug 21 (Sin Chew Daily) -- Negeri Sembilan menteri besar Datuk Seri Aminuddin Harun announced that the state government would not allow speeches by Indian Muslim preacher Zakir Naik, not even if held behind closed doors.

Negeri Sembilan is the eighth state that has barred Zakir from delivering public speeches after Johor, Selangor, Penang, Kedah, Perlis, Sarawak and Melaka.

Aminuddin said the decision to bar Zakir had been made after taking into consideration interracial harmony of the state.

“The state government will not allow, whether the speech is public or held behind closed doors.”
