PPBM minister: time to defend Malay culture

  • Mohd Redzuan says the Malays have compromised too much to the demands of “racist organizations” in the past, and it's now time to stand up and defend the Malay culture.

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 14 (Sin Chew Daily) – PPBM Supreme Council member Datuk Seri Mohd Redzuan Md Yusof said the Malays had compromised too much to the demands of “racist organizations” in the past, and it is now time to stand up and defend the Malay culture.

Mohd Redzuan, who is also entrepreneurship development minister, told Utusan Malaysia via WhatsApp that the issue of teaching Seni Khat at vernacular schools was a result of non-Malays being reluctant to abide by the Federal Constitution.

He said these people did not respect the constitutional provision on the necessity to use Bahasa Malaysia.

“The Malays have made too much compromise to the excessive demands of these racist people. And we must stand up to defend our own culture before it is destroyed by them.

“Unlike other countries that warrant the use of their official languages, we have been way too tolerant here!”
