Australia satisfied with Malaysia's decision on Lynas

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 2 (Sin Chew Daily) – Australian High Commissioner to Malaysia Andrew Goledzinowski is satisfied with the Malaysian government's decision to conditionally allow Lynas rare earth plant to continue operating in the country.

In an e-mail reply to a question from Sin Chew Daily, Goledzinowski said he was happy with the latest statement from Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad yesterday.

He said he believed the decision had been made after thorough consideration.

He hoped the government would officially inform Lynas and announce details and conditions for the company's continued operation in Malaysia.
