Rumor of Anwar's arrest baseless

  • A source close to Anwar says he has not received any notice from the police to give his statement over the sex video scandal.

KUALA LUMPUR, July 26 (Sin Chew Daily) –- PKR president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim attended a seminar on the country's economy at the Parliament this morning, dismissing the rumor that he had been arrested by the police over the sex video scandal.

A source close to Anwar told Sin Chew Daily Anwar had not received any notice from the police to give his statement.

There have been rumors that the police might also arrest PKR deputy president Datuk Seri Azmin Ali and vice president Rafizi Ramli.

It was also rumored last night that Azmin was about to join PPBM with ten PKR leaders, while the Malay media reported that he had the intention of joining Gerakan Rakyat instead.
