Investors can get back their money at Monspace HQ: Lai

  • Lai claims that part of the Monspace business has been listed on the US OTC market.

KUALA LUMPUR, May 23 (MySinchew) -- Monspace founder Datuk Seri Jessy Lai said in a press conference this morning that Monspace was an e-commerce company like Alibaba of China or Lazada, and was not an illegal investment company.

She claimed that Monspace was a multinational company with part of its business listed on the US over-the-counter (OTC) market.

She also said investors could claim back their investment principal at the Monspace head office, if they were worried about their investment.

Meanwhile, DAP's MP for Segambut Lim Lip Eng challenged Lai today to sue him for defamation if his claim that Monspace was illegally raising funds from investors had been unsubstantiated.

He also said he would give Lai two months to prove that Monspace was a legally operating company.
