UPSR to be postponed only if API exceeds 250

  • Education minister says the UPSR exams will only be postponed if the API readings exceed 250.

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 8 (MySinchew) -- Education minister Datuk Seri Mahdzir Khalid said the UPSR examinations would only be postponed if the Air Pollutant Index (API) readings exceeded the unhealthy level of 250.

He said the education ministry was closely monitoring air quality twice a day, and that a decision would be made once the API breached the hazardous mark.

He said the examinations could still be carried out now as usual, adding that he hoped the exams could go on smoothly as it would only take three days.
